Today’s song is a Broadway Musical hit, which I first really heard when used in a sermon.  Since that day I’ve used it in worship, heard it in concerts, seen the show, as well as heard this sung by a choir at a friend’s memorial service.  It continues to speak to me, evoking memories, bringing a gentle smile to my face, inviting me to feelings of gratitude.

“For Good” from the musical Wicked, is the big final number of the show telling the story of the witches of Oz, and portraying the paradox, dynamic and gift of friendship, relationship and love.  This is the official stage version sung by Kristin Chenoweth (Glinda in the play) and Idina Menzel (Elphaba in the play).

As you listen to this music and lyrics, to whom does your mind go?  For what are you grateful?
