Awe

I’m blessed to have this sacred open space nearby my house.  I can walk my dog there daily, and often am flooded with awe and gratitude at such beautiful sights as this one above.

In the busyness of daily life, submerged by the quotidian fires-to-put-out, it’s too easy to overlook the beauty around us, beauty that points to something even more beautiful.  We can’t all get out into such spots.  I am lucky as this spot is surrounded by urban jungle..which you’d never guess from the photo.

Worship and being in awe, naturally lead us towards gratitude, which is the key to all spiritual truths.  Here’s an online 3 minute daily retreat from Loyola Press – that might be just the “get away” you need and can manage.  Here’s the link: http://www.loyolapress.com/3-Minute-Retreat-in-awe-before-god.htm
